[In your village.]

"And remember, you must be back before sunrise or else you'll find that your ass will be in more trouble than you'll know how to handle!" Your alpha, a muscular, mean looking man yelled out like a drill sergeant. "Do you understand me?!"

"Sir, yes sir!" The class of young draki's responded with enthusiasm. This was their first unaccompanied flight, their first acknowledgement as being young, smart draki ladies and gentlemen that would one day rule the pride. Eagerly awaiting the order, the class quickly morphed into their dragon form and disappeared into the night sky once they were given the clear to fly. Only one draki was left behind; (Your name). She wasn't having 'technical difficulties', so to speak; it had always been in her nature to be the last one to take off, probably so she would have bountiful room. You see, (Your name) was one of the prides only onyxs, who were considerably bigger and stronger than the other drakis. So it would only make sense she would need more room to morph and fly than her smaller counterparts. Though honestly the main reason (Your name) was the last to take flight was so she could sneak off easily without being caught. The person bringing up the rear never gets paid much attention to after all. She loved to be able to give the pride the finger and fly off to where ever her wings wanted to take her. Dragons were never meant to be bound and controlled like this, to be told where they could and could not go, what to eat, when to sleep, and all the other 'pointless' rules of her pride, by her own definition.

"Stop lousin' around (Your name)!" Your alpha snapped once again. "Get in the air!" You gave the man a small glare, but you knew better than to challenge the alpha, who would quite literally scorch your ass in a heart beat, regardless of the fact that your draki skin was as hard as stone. Almost effortlessly you ditched your human form in favor of the black, scaly skin and wings of your dragon form. Taking a small running start, you jumped up in the air and allowed your wings to carry you away, higher and higher into the dark clouds and mist.
